Michael Hoppen Contemporary have announced that they are exclusively releasing two new limited edition platinum prints by the legendary Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. The monochrome prints titled ‘Paradise Black’ and ‘Paradise White’ are typical of Araki's unusual signature style - embracing themes of love, sex, death, consumption, natural beauty, and femininity. The images feature orchids and plastic figurines, and draw on the visual tropes of his most recent book 'It Was Once a Paradise'. Araki’s artistic career has spanned five decades during which time he has produced works that have at times been controversial but always compelling.
